AIDA Depth Competition Safety Freediver

Pre-requisites

• AIDA 2 Freediver or equivalent (crossover included)

• Be at least 18 years old

• Prior AIDA competition experience (as athlete, judge, or organizer)
• Fulfil the following physical requirements :
  • 35-40m CWTB
  • 30m dive + 30” surface recovery + 20m dive
  • 20m dives with 3-5” notice, at fast pace (early turn simulation)

Duration : 2-3 days

• Solo rescues from -20m
• Team rescues from -25m with 30” standby
• Assist and rescue from -25m with BOs at random depths & covering all team roles, including extraction
• Stress management
• Theory exam

  • 100m surface swim (no equipment) in < 1:45

  • 100m surface swim (with equipment) in < 1:30

  • 50m surface sprint with fins and float in < 35s (50m pool)

  • 50m Dynamic Bi-Fins (DYNB)

  • 8×25m DYNB sprints with 15s recovery

  • 30s STA at the pool bottom (1–3m)
